Sulzer Turbo Services offers a variety of coatings tailored to your turbomachinery applications.Coating is a relatively inexpensive and reliable method of reducing maintenance intervals, repair and replacement costs.In addition to extending the life of your parts, our coatings can often improve operating efficiencies.

THERMAL SPRAY COATINGS:
Sulzer Turbo Services thermal spray coatings include LPPS, HVOF, and APS methods. LPPS (Low Pressure Plasma Spray) and HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fueled) are used to create oxidation and corrosion resistant coatings for hot section gas turbine components. These processes are also used to create hard coatings to reduce wear caused by fretting and or erosion.APS (Air Plasma Spray) is often used to apply TBC (Thermal Barrier Coatings), which reduces substrate temperatures of combustion and air-cooled hot section gas turbine components.

DIFFUSION COATINGS
Diffusion coatings protect internal passages and cavities not accessible by other methods.

AIRSPRAY COATINGS:
Air-spraying is used to apply slurry coatings to gas turbine components, compressors, and steam turbines. These multilayer metallic-ceramic air-spray coatings provide sacrificial corrosion protection, reduced friction and anti-fouling characteristics.
