A full complement of appropriate machining tools are in place at each Sulzer Turbo Services location. These can include CNC and conventional lathes, horizontal, vertical and boring mills for manufacturing the simplest replacement part to intricate steam turbine and axial flow compressor blading. All of these tools assist in the maintenance of rotating equipment, compressor repair, steam and gas turbine repair.
We also have the ability to manufacture all required tooling in house to specifically design as the need arises. Additionally, many of our facilities are complemented with grinding machines to complete the machining process to the required surface finish along a rotor shaft on bearings, couplings and probe target areas and on critical fit areas such as the bores of steam turbine discs and compressor impeller bores and inlet eye OD’s.
