Sulzer has acquired Castle Support Services plc., owners of Dowding and Mills, Bootham Engineers and EMS. With this acquisition Sulzer Turbo Services and Castle Support Services will be able to substantially increase the scope of the service to you, our customers, for your steam turbines, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, new motors and generators. The acquisition will also improve the global imprint and proximity to customers.
Dowding and Mills, Bootham Engineers and EMS are one of the largest independent repair and maintenance providers for generators, motors and associated equipment.Dowding and Mills had sales of GBP 125.5 million (CHF 213 million) in the financial year ending June 30, 2009 and staff of around 1400 in the UK, USA, Australia and UAE. We will be updating our website to include the offering of Dowding and Mills, Bootham Engineers and EMS over the next weeks.
